About UR Mission Statement
University Relations provides brand-centered, results-oriented, and integrated communications solutions that advance, differentiate, and position Michigan State University.
University Relations is a collaborative team of communications professionals with expertise in communications consulting and research, creative design, web development, multimedia production, photography, printing and mailing, and media relations. We come from a wide range of professional backgrounds and experiences, but have unique expertise in providing communication solutions that work for Michigan State University.
We work in partnership with our clients, drawing upon our in-house resources, other university resources, or partners from outside MSU to meet client needs and provide communication solutions that work.
We use a research-driven, comprehensive approach to communications that uses a strategic mix of tactics to engage, inform, and influence target audiences.
Our organization is made up of four units – Marketing and Creative Services, Media Communications, Printing Services, and Sports Information – each with specific areas of expertise that can be brought to bear to meet client needs. For more about what we do, check out:
